Our Mission:
You can make a difference today.
Save a life with a small donation or volunteer on one of our trips.
For over five years, our organization has been talking volunteer medical professionals to the Dominican Republic three times a year to conduct free health clinics in impoverished communities. Local medicine is often too expensive and inept for the needs of residents. These services provide the only access to medical care for many individuals and families in the community.
In November of 2014, we broke ground in the village of Bayaguana for the construction of a permanent facility to provide year round service to those in desperate need. The Community of Hope Clinic was dedicated in November of 2016 and is now a fully licensed medical facility. The Clinic includes medical treatment rooms, dental rooms, optometry rooms, a pharmacy, and a laboratory. We currently have three full time doctors, two dentists, an optometrist, a laboratory and a pharmacist. With the grand opening of the Community of Hope Clinic, we also finished the completion of a second building next to the clinic that will open as a vocational school in June 2018.
Our Vision:
With better access to affordable health care and vocational education, we can enable individuals everywhere to achieve the highest quality of life.
To accomplish this vision, we are focusing on the following strategies:
Grow Ongoing Services
And create additional ones. Doing so will continue to make our first clinic and school benefit the lives of those living in Bayaguana. This will establish the blueprint for future facilities.
Expand Our Reach
By partnering with other local communities using the Bayaguana experience as a blueprint.
Encourage Financial and Volunteer Support
By strengthening relationships with our corporate sponsors, private donors and volunteers, as well as the local governing bodies and leaders.
We know that we can make our vision a reality. We express our heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful work of hundreds of volunteers. Doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, translators, and other volunteers have given unselfishly of their time and talents to bless the lives of many thousands of Haitian and Dominican individuals livings in deplorable conditions. We are anxious to institute our mission wherever it is needed.
